Val always knew she wanted to work with children and initially planned to become a teacher. That changed after a personal medical experience introduced her to the compassionate care of a primary care Physician Assistant. Inspired, she shifted paths and pursued a career as a PA.
She earned her degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL, and began her career in the Pediatric Emergency Room at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where she discovered a passion for fast-paced, procedural medicine. In 2014, she and her husband moved to Gillette with plans to stay temporarily, but quickly fell in love with the community and made it their home. Outside of work, Val enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, and coaching youth sports.
Her passion for primary care is evident in the way Val builds lasting relationships with families while supporting children’s physical and mental well being.

Nurse Practitioner
Camlyn Dunn, APRN, is a Wyoming native with deep roots in the local community. Originally from Moorcroft, she always had a passion for working with children and was committed to building her career in her home state. That commitment led her to Gillette, just a short distance from where her journey began.
She began her healthcare path at the University of Wyoming, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Camlyn practiced as a Registered Nurse for 10 years in a variety of roles, including medical and surgical pediatrics and neonatal intensive care. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Duquesne University to become a Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care pediatrics for the past several years. Camlyn’s dedication to pediatric care and this community is driven by her love for caring for children and her belief in the vital role children play in the strength and future of the community.
Outside of work, Camlyn enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of Wyoming’s great outdoors. Her favorite activities include hunting, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
